I hated myself for not reading this fantastic book earlier (bought it in 2007).

Science is the new god... or is it?

In our modern world of technological wonders, Science has embedded itself deeply within each of us. Medical breakthroughs, environmental conservation, space exploration, genetic alteration - Science seems to be able to solve all our problems with tangible means.

So pardon my boldness but - do we still need religion?

Back in ancient times when humans were still retarded entities with no technology, we look to our faith for hope. We look to our gods. Sometimes, our prayers will be answered. Sometimes, they went unheard. Statistics-wise, I have to say that the ratio of unheard prayers is higher than that of answered prayers. Miracles do not happen everyday. And even if they do, can we be sure they are miracles?

So now we have Science that can give us tangible results with tangible means. Do we still need our faith in our religion; intangible faith that might not give us any results at all?

Angels and Demons will reveal everything. Go read it!

In a peanut's shell, the book is about the revival of an ancient anti-christ and pro-science organization and their plan to annihilate their long time oppressor - the Catholic Church. The story will bring you from the technological brilliance of CERN to the ancient and mysterious Vatican City. In the end, you will realize that there is more to it than it meets the eye.

As a big fan of the occult and conspiracy theories, I hereby reach out to those that are like me out there to read the book if you haven't already!!!

I was intrigued by the various landmarks and locations in the book and decided to go see how it looked like in real life. I want to know if they still bear the secret markings of a secret history...

So this is where the story started off - CERN. The white circle marks the underground Large Hadron Collider used by CERN to conduct particle research. And as its name suggests, its L-A-R-G-E in every sense of the word. The white dotted line is the boundary between France and Switzerland.

A country by itself, the Vatican City stands within Rome, a capital of another country. At just 0.44km sq big, the Vatican is... do the math yourself. Singapore is 710.2km sq big and already people criticize us for being a dot on the map.

Behold the St. Peter's Square, heart and core of the Vatican City!

This is the St. Peter's Basilica, situated right in front of St. Peter's Square. It houses the office for the Pope and many many other secret chambers... the entrance to the original Vatican Hill is somewhere inside.

These are Swiss Guards - sworn protectors of the Pope and the Holy See. Do not be fooled by their uniforms for they are specially trained to be in charge of the Pope's security. Think of them as equivalents to the US Secret Service. And do not laugh. Their uniform are derived from the designs of Michaelangelo himself!

Let angels guide you on your lofty quest.

I saw in his hand a long spear of gold, and at the iron's point there seemed to be a little fire. He appeared to me to be thrusting it at times into my heart, and to pierce my very entrails; when he drew it out, he seemed to draw them out also, and to leave me all on fire with a great love of God. The pain was so great, that it made me moan; and yet so surpassing was the sweetness of this excessive pain, that I could not wish to be rid of it.

The Fountain of the Four Rivers. This is a crucial clue in the quest to finding the Path of - I have said too much...

The St. Angelo's Castle. I fell in love with it when I first saw it. I want a castle like that too!

Another interesting feature in the story is the use of ambigrams. An ambigram is a graphical figure that spells out one or more words not only in its form as presented, but also in another direction or orientation. Take a look at the following to see what it means:

Angels and Demons

Smile

Ambigram

Thank you

Copy these images and then rotate them 180 degrees in your image viewer or if you can use your imagination. They will still depict the same word. Interesting eh? You can read up more on ambigrams at John Langdon.

The Vatican is now on my places to visit list.
This is most... unexpected.
What is going on?
Everything just changed tonight.
And so I went back to Sim Lim Square today to get my phone fixed. For some weird reason, the shop which I went to yesterday, the one that quoted me $30-$50, told me that they do not provide any unlocking services anymore. So I went to check out other shops and found one that was willing to do the job for me for $130. Well, $139 to be exact; the same old 7% GST trick after they settled everything with you and because everything has been settled, you can't refuse.

AHHHHH! Why do I keep falling for the same trick! People, next time when you go Sim Lim or Lucky Plaza or anywhere else, always remember to ask for the NETT PRICE! Or if you want to make it clearer, ALWAYS CONFIRM WITH THE DAMN SHOP THAT THE PRICE THEY QUOTE YOU IS THE FINAL PRICE, NO GST NO SERVICE CHARGE OR WHATEVER FUNNY CHARGES.

I believe I could find a better offer in other shops but I am not motivated enough to comb through the entire complex. Besides, the shops there are in cahoots one way or the other so I guess the standard price is around there. I will be collecting the phone on Wednesday...

I fell sick again. The familiar sore throat and fever. Fortunately, I feel better after taking a couple of Panadols and 3 hours of sleep.

ZOMGWTFBBQ!

Red Alert 3 has just gotten better!

In the aftermath of Red Alert 3, when the Allies prevailed over all their foes, how would the defeated Empire of the Rising Sun, with their egoistical pride, react to such a brutal humiliation to their honour? And will the Soviets submit obediently to their long time capitalist rival and forsake their comradeship ideals? All this shall be unveiled in the new expansion set: Red Alert 3 UPRISING!!!

Featuring new casts, UPRISING will pick up from where Red Alert 3 left off and bring us into the insurrections of the two defeated factions. It will also unveil the mystery behind Yuriko Omega - the psychic commando of the Empire of the Rising Sun.

RIC FLAIR - 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion; the Dirtiest Player in the Game; the Nature Boy is featured as one of the cast inside the game as well (thats him in the middle of the picture, wearing the blue uniform)! WOooooooOOOOooooOOOooo

I am definitely getting this game!
Alright I gave my essay a twist. Instead of going to Vatican City, I ended up going to Malaysia to eat durians. But when I was driving on the North South Highway, I suddenly saw a white figure behind me which looks like pontianak! Petrified, I jammed my accelerator and drove as fast as I could. A few minutes later, the white figure disappeared and I heaved a sigh of relief. I continued my journey and eventually reached the Durian Town. I went to a Durian Shop to buy my durians. After eating the durians, I fell asleep mysteriously and when I woke up the next morning, I was in the middle of a field! The Durian Town vanished! I had just met a ghost!

I wonder what my sensei will think when he reads my essay. Why do I feel that I am going to fail my mid-term test suddenly?

Today's reservist session was as boring as last week's. Although we had practical lessons today, the practical was as good as a classroom lecture because the instructors were the one carrying out the demonstrations and we students just stood and listen. Good news from my NS department - I won't have to go back for another 1 month. Bad news - I have to go back again in April and June. WTF?

The phone feels solid enough.

After waiting for 3 weeks, the Nokia 8800 Arte which I ordered online finally arrived! But to my absolute horror, the phone was not in BRAND NEW condition as the seller had claimed and my SIM card cant work on it! When I brought it to Nokia Care Centre to see if I can repair it or something, the service officer told me that they cannot repair/unlock/update the software of the phone for me because it is an export set from UK and Nokia does not carry International Warranty so they cannot tamper with phones that are not locally produced. I don't know how this company policy works but it only means one thing - I am screwed. The customer officer even went the extra mile to advise me to bring my phone to the UK for servicing. Wow. Thanks alot. You deserve a backhand slap for that.

Wow. Nokia decided to give the Arte packaging a vintage look.

So I went to Sim Lim Square today with my BEST COUSIN (now turned BEST FRIEND too) Sher to see if the not so legal shops there can help me with my problems. The first shop we went to have the bloody cheek to quote me $150 for unlocking my phone, citing the reason that because my phone is a luxury phone, the process will be more complicated and thus, more expensive. My Con-man, you can go f*&% yourself with a satellite phone. My Nokia 8800 is luxurious because of the materials used to manufacture it. Inside its core, the phone uses the same Symbian S40 series platform like most other common Nokia phones. You should count yourself lucky that I have already ORD-ed.

The next shop we went to does not provide any clandestine services. The third shop we went to told us that the unlocking fee will be between $30-$50 (Mr Con-man from earlier, I think you need to use a military communication set instead) but we need to hand over the phone to the shop for 2 to 3 days. I wanted to get my phone back immediately so I declined the offer. After that, we went to Sim Lim Tower but didn't have any luck either.

Sher suggested to me that it might be the SIM card's problem so I called up M1 and check with them. The customer officer advised me to bring my SIM card down to a M1 store where they can check for me. So off we went to Bugis M1 where it was revealed that the problem lies with my phone, not my SIM card. To put it simply, I just bought a phone which cant be used in Singapore. I think I deserve a prize for that -.-

MORAL OF THE STORY: Do not be tempted by cheap items on eBay and be careful when purchasing electronics from foreign countries as they might not work in our fine garden city.

I will be going back to SLS.

At least the phone is ...

... free of major scratches.

Whats with the crumpled booklet? And all those different types of plastic wrappers used to store the accessories? And a brown leather pouch for a black phone in a black box?

Is that a red pair of earpiece protector?

Looks can be deceiving.

This scratch on the charger dock must be Nokia trying to follow after LV's latest design - graffiti.

Ahhh!

I am doing last minute homework again. Somehow, I seem to be procrastinating more and more in recent weeks... I need to stop that and start working hard. Mid term test is next week and I will be tested on everything I have learnt from Intermediate 1 to 3!

私はテストがごかくしたら 一生懸命勉強します!
If I want to pass my test, I must study very hard!

I am now supposed to write a short essay about a vacation which I had recently but I haven't been to any other country at all. Looks like I will have to make something up again. Hmmm, I wouldn't mind visiting the Vatican City after reading so much about it in Angels and Demons. Alright then, lets assume that I went for a pilgrimage last week!

Let's see, Vatican City in Japanese is..... ヴァチカン市国.

先週に僕はヴァチカン市国へ神をいのりにいきます。しかし イタリアへいったとき 便秘しました。。。
Last week, I went to Vatican City to pray. However, after I arrived in Italy, I began to feel constipated...
I am gonna spend another day doing my reservist back at my headquarters. Its gonna be one whole day of classroom lecture. So exciting right! I really cant wait for it to end. If I have my way I wouldn't even want to go back there.

Mom and Dad are coming back today from their 3 days 2 nights cruise getaway. I wondered if their relationship has gotten any more intimate - if you know what I mean. Its been a long time since they did that. I know because I have been sleeping with them ever since I was a baby. Don't blame me. We have a small apartment so there are not enough rooms to go around.

I was reading up on horoscopes recently and was quite amazed to find out that it is quite accurate. I am not saying its 100% true but it gives a more or less accurate description about who you are. I read mine and I have to agree with it that I am like that sometimes/most of the times:

Cancer zodiac sign has the symbol of 'The Crab'. One of the basic characteristics of a Cancerian is that he is very prone to mood swings, which are matched by changing emotions. At one point of time, you may have seen him in a typical party mood, enjoying himself and laughing at other people's jokes. He may come across as the most extroverted member in the entire group. However, another time, he may be completely introverted, sitting in a corner and lost in his own world. This single personality trait can help you in identifying a Cancer very easily.

A Cancerian will never run behind fame and publicity, but if he ever gets it, he definitely knows how to bask in the limelight. In a melancholic mood, he can become the coldest person on this earth and drown you in his bottomless depression. Cancerians are prone to pessimism and usually hide their fears behind a veil of humor. They love to dream and for them, sky's the limit. When he cries, it is because he is deeply hurt from inside. A harsh glance or a rough tone can easily break Cancer's vulnerable heart.

When he is hurt, he will either cry his heart out or retreat into a silent spell. However, it is rare that he takes revenge from the one who has hurt him. If a Cancer retreats to his shell, you can be sure he will become completely unreachable. He won't pick his phone, answer the doorbell or even check his mail. Another mood that can engulf a Cancer is a snappy one, or you can say a crabby one. He will hate the world and snap at anything and everything. However, you can be sure he is not angry with you and will soon be his normal self again.

While in a conversation, the facial features of a crab will change a number of times, displaying his numerous moods. He has a vivid imagination and at times will drown you in his moods too. Each and every experience affects him and gets engraved in his memory. Cancerians remember everything life has taught them and are true patriots. Past intrigues them and they love to collect antiques, old treasures and ancient relics. They are the perfect keepers of secrets and people automatically confide in them.

However, their own thoughts and secrets are strictly off limits for everyone. A typical cancer will never discuss his personal life with anyone. Compassion and intuition gel perfectly with the Cancer profile. He seldom judges people, just soaks up what comes his way and reflects the same. He will never ever give up an object he cherishes, be it a gift from a lover or the worn jeans he loves wearing. Cancerians have a soft heart; they care about people and are quite helpful. However, they wait to see if someone else is helping.

If the answer is yes, they will sit back and let the other person be the savior. In case no one comes forward; they will be there to rescue you. A Cancer person may come at the last minute, but he will save you just before you are about to drown. He is not selfish, it just that he never wants to be impulsive. But, he will save you nonetheless. Before he makes any move, a Cancerian must be sure of strong backing. Without it, he hates to venture on his own. He does not forget mistakes easily, especially his own.

He will brood over them and take a long time before moving ahead again. Cancerian loves, rather reveres, his home and his loved ones. Too much is not even enough for him. He needs more, more security, more love and more care. Insecurity may lead him to depression and weaken him physically. However, Cancerians have this amazing quality of self-healing. All they require is happiness, optimism and laughter in large doses. They are prone to negative thoughts and are always preparing for the unseen future.

The maxim 'Old is Gold' fits perfectly to a Cancer, whether it is the case of people or things. He is also very good at making as well as managing wealth. He has a large heart and will share willingly if his loved ones are in need. However, wastage, especially of food, is sure to tick him off. All the sensitivity of a crab is hidden beneath his hard shell and it will take much care and love to bring him out of his shell and close to you!

All the bolded text are those attributes which I think I have. I kind of like it when they say I am a true patriot - looks like I am set to become a CIA agent for Uncle Sam after all.

So what do you guys think? Am I really like that?

All good things come to an end

Its over.

As much as I hate to let go, I can't seem to change your mind. I really didn't want to see things end that way but...

I guess you were right, if I have had relationship experiences before, we would have been the perfect couple because I would have known how to handle the things we faced. There will be no unnecessary quarrels, no unnecessary "I am sorry" sessions and no unnecessary cold wars. All these unnecessary things are ingredients for a break-up. The more you have of them, the faster your relationship will end. Unfortunately, I learn that through the hard way.

I think we are the "right couple" in the "wrong timing". I pray that sometime in future, when both of us have grown more mature, we would meet again. Of course, I know you hate me to the bones now... I am sorry.

Its so sad... it hurts me to the core to see 3 months of efforts erased by a single moment of folly.

I just want you to know that those 3 months were the happiest moments of my 20 years of life. For once I found a confidant who understands me so well and can laugh and cry with me. For once I get to feel the bliss of being loved and to love. For once I feel that I am the most fortunate guy on Earth. For once I found someone to do all those romantic things with. Its all because I met you. You changed my life. You taught me alot of lessons in life and love too. No other relationship will be able to replace the one I had with you. You can trust me on that. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Farewell, my first love.

March 09, 2009

When I woke up, the pain started creeping back in. The facts of what just happened gradually regrouped in my mind.

I broke the heart of someone who is most dear to me.

I really wish I could turn back the hands of time but...

that is not going to happen.

I'll have to live with that guilt alone from now on.
Hey hey...

It happened just a few hours ago but it feels as if a long long time has passed.

That day I was really at a lost. I, too, was affected by our strained relationship at that time. I did not know what I should do. I wasn't thinking straight.

I can swear that I honestly did not do anything there. But I guess its meaningless now... having the intention is equivalent to the crime itself.

I screwed it all up. I am sorry.

Eternity

I’m sure my finger is only here

for softly touching your cheek
only for touching it

I’m sure the shining moon is only here
for me and you to forever look up at
it was only for us to look up at

Whenever I feel down
you were always by my side
You always smiled for me
but now you’re gone

From the palms of my hands
my sadness pours out in large drops, “My Love”
Tonight in this town
I think I’m the one who is crying the most

Because you loved me
I had become who I am now
Wind that carries time,
Somehow, bring back the eternity from that day
Bye Bye Bye…
Why did you say bye bye bye

Back then, there was that song we always listened to
It came on while we were standing at the corner
We shared our earphones together

Then you’ll suddenly pull away
and the earphone would come out of my ear
and I pretended to get mad

Our eyes would meet suddenly
and our lips pressed together
You said you will always protect me

I gently reach up to the navy blue sky
I feel like my heart is about to burst
Just hold me, just one more time

If I have been honest that time
This never would have happened
When I wake up, everything will be a dream
And then
you’ll say jokingly “bye bye bye.”
Why did you say bye bye bye?

I was looking absent-minded at the people on the street
while walking with you beside the rows of trees
You said you’ll make pasta for me next time
and we’ll go on a trip together next year
and that you’ll always protect me, but..

From the palms of my hands
my sadness pours out in large drops, “My Love”
Tonight in this town
I think I’m the one who is crying the most

Because you loved me
I had become who I am now
Wind that carries time,
Somehow, bring back the eternity from that day

I gently reach up at the navy blue sky
I feel like my heart is about to burst
Just hold me, just one more time

If I have been honest that time
This never would have happened
When I wake up, everything will be a dream
And then
you’ll say jokingly “bye bye bye.”
Why did you say bye bye bye?

The new Japanese single by BOA the Constrictor! Haha nah just plain Boa - the girl who every girl wants to be and every boy wants to meet! I have got the song in my new playlist. It has got a nice tune and I think its a nice song to listen to while driving down the highway on a rainy evening. Y was the one who introduced this song to me.

Strangely enough, after reading through the lyrics, it dawned upon me that there are some connections.... do you see it?

An unforgettable 3rd month of togetherness.

I am such a romantic wahahahahahhaha!

Whatever has happened, let us just toss it away like you did with the glass bottle. Together, we shall strive ahead towards a better future. But of course, I have not forgotten our one month ultimatum... though I am sure I will be able to achieve that as well =D

I LOVE YOU Y.

Woooooooooooooooooooo!

March 06, 2009

the not-so-familiar attire of blue pants and white polo tee looks as funny as ever. the best thing i can hope for now is the thing doesnt actually last one whole day and that i can actually leave after 1pm or something... thats the way our gahmen works. always say and present until very important but actually, its just for show only!

gonna have to take the boringly long train ride from my place to there again.

March 05, 2009

Ho ho ho. its that time of the night again. RAINY NIGHTS! I am so revitalized by the cooling atmosphere and the plitter platter sound of the rain drops. Wooo~

Hai, tomorrow will be day 1 of my reservist. Retarded shit. How can they recall me back so fast? I doubt 6 months have passed already. I guess the gahmen is getting worst and worst. Everything is coming apart at the seams. Next, the whole system might topple and I will have to install a new, Pro-Russian administration! Bah, if only that will happen.

Whatever it is... i will have to lan lan suck thumb and go back. Zomg.. it dreads me to have to go back to a place where i never want to see again! Especially some retarded people down there. Tsk.

But at least I can look forward to our 3 months of togetherness after that!

March 03, 2009

The storm has finally subsided with the thawing of the Cold War between me and her. It has been a really rough week. But I guess somehow, it has strengthened our relationship.

Just like what you told me, this is the period of getting to know each other. "During this stage, we are like two rough balls. We will grind and rub with each other until we smooth out and can have 'frictionless' contact". Wise words from the great Love Sage herself! I totally agree. I am getting to know you better. I am so going to prove Tit wrong by making my relationship last for the longest time ever depicted by the most brilliant human minds ever created. Wait and see.

If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me
No baby please don't go
If you leave me now, you'll take away the very heart of me
No baby please don't go

A love like ours is love that's hard to find
How could we let it slip away
We've come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way
When tomorrow comes we'll both regret
Things we said today

A love like ours is love that's hard to find
How could we let it slip away
We've come too far to leave it all behind
How could we end it all this way
When tomorrow comes we'll both regret
Things we said today

If you leave me now, you'll take away the biggest part of me
No baby please don't go
Oh girl, just got to have you by my side

No baby, please don't go

Oh baby, i just got to have your lovin, yeah

We've come too far to leave it all behind

For all the things I done and for all the things I have said to hurt you, I sincerely apologize to you. You know how much I love you Y.

When is the happiest day of my life?
IF I have to answer that now, I would say its today.

So then when is the saddest day of my life?
IF I have to answer that now as well, I would say its today too.

Why?

BECAUSE LV IS FINALLY HIRING BUT I WONT BE THE ONE HIRED!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a golden opportunity for me to bask in the leathery arms of Louis Vuitton but alas, as of now I am still obligated to work for Citibank, at least till my contract ends but then I will have to wait till end of May.... I wonder if the esteemed LVMH will still be hiring then.

Then again, even if I were free to apply, there is no guarantee that I will get the job. I have heard that the interviews were very tough. I need to understand fashion like Miranda Priestly does in order to get hired. Alright that might be an overstatement. I do not need to be like Miranda. But I still need some fashion background.

Hmmm.... fashion. T-shirt and jeans?

One thing is for sure; I am switching back to my LOUIS VUITTON wallet!

Tomb of a Relationship

It is so sad. When we first met, it was love at first sight. I knew it has to be you straight away. Without much thinking, I decided to own you immediately. I don't even remember what I was thinking then but only that I have to be with you.

Throughout the times which we have spent together, I have treated you nicely. I take extra precaution not to harm you and I try to keep you safe and happy all the time. I would treat you with respect and I would treat you with care. If I don't talk to you everyday, I think I won't be able to survive this restless urban jungle. You empower me. You, too, on your part has given me alot of pleasure. Even though it was only a short period of time, I truly enjoyed every single moment that we were together. I never would have thought that you would leave me. And I least expect myself to be the cause of your departure.

Now that you are gone, life is never the same again. I would never see your face again. I would never hear your voice again. I won't get to fiddle with your buttons anymore... But you have to remember this, I am sorry for the things I have done wrong to you. Though you are no longer here, you will forever remain in my heart.

Farewell - my beloved NOKIA 5700

Uber mega bummer. My 2 years plan is ending soon and I was looking to upgrade to a new phone. I saw this full touchscreen Samsung M8800 Pixon which I thought I would like and went ahead to upgrade my handset. I traded in my Nokia 5700 (plus some pieces of paper called cash) for the new Pixon.

But after using the Pixon for a few days, I realized I don't really like it that much. I still prefer my trustworthy Nokia 5700 with its insanely loud ringtones, message tones, alarm tones, sexy buttons and everything else. The Pixon might have an oh-so-wonderfully-wonderful 8 megapixel camera but whats the point of this phone if I cant hear my incoming calls and SMSes? And the battery life sucks like a vortex! I need to charge it at the end of everyday now even with normal usage. My 5700 can last for at least 3 days even if I abused it daily!

I just called up M1 to check if I can buy back my Nokia 5700 which I traded in to them and they told me NO! Because once we trade in, we CAN NEVER GET BACK THE PHONE FOREVER!

NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooOOOOOOOoooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooo!!!!!

It is such a terrible lost and I am the one who caused it. If not for my stupid desire to own a new phone, I would still be living a happy life with my 5700. My friends tried to console me and told me that if the old things dun go, the new will never come. Personally, I prefer old stuff. Once I used something long enough (or be with someone long enough), I will be emotionally attached to it and develop an unexplainable deep sense of affection to it. Why, then, do I still decide to change my 5700? I guess humans really only know how to appreciate something when they lose it.

I am suffering from my terrible lost now.... I think a mourning or something is in order. I am going to change my blog music to something more appropriate for moaning (?) so please pardon me. No mood for war now.

February 17, 2009

Hmmm nowadays I have very little time and motivation to blog. The reason why I am blogging now is cause I am sick and am on 2 days MC... Its the same thing again. Super high fever (39.4 degree celsius). Of course, that was last night's temperature. Right now, I am at a moderate 37.5 degree celsius warm. I still feel dizzy and discomfort in my throat and numbness in my limbs... hopefully I can recover fully by tomorrow. A day without work is a day without income.

As of now, 70% of my time is devoted to working. Monday to Friday from 9 to 6. I wonder if I will have to work like that in my future working life... Life would be so boring, doing the same thing over and over everyday. Sometimes I get scared when I think about it. I have got alot of things which I would like to do. I do not wished to be tied down by a job. But then again, thats the way things are. You cant have everything.

February 08, 2009

I am totally addicted to RED ALERT 3. 3 months after I bought the game and after completing all 3 campaigns in the game, I am still playing the skirmish mode at least once a day if i have the time. I know it might sound retarded to some people but its charm is that strong. i have come to the extent that i can remember all the nitty-gritty details of the gameplay.

I am feeling better now, one way or another. My lethargy and fever seem to have gone away, leaving sore throat behind to accompany me, not that I appreciate its company but I am not complaining; 1's company is definitely better than 3's.

Since I didn't set a New Year Resolution, I am going to set a Lunar New Year's Resolution. And that is to own this car in 2009.

Behold, this is the new flagship of BMW - the BMW F01, otherwise more commonly known as the 2009 BMW 7 Series. BMW decided to name this new 7-Series differently from its predecessors. Previous models were called E(insert number here). I guess the jump to the next alphabet (E to F) signifies the evolution of the new breed of 7 Series to something even more GODLIKE.

Of course, the name itself does not justify its capabilities. With a 4000cc V8 engine (there is a 4799cc one too), it can bring you from 0 to 60 in 5.9s. Not a very impressive number (GTR can do that in 3.5s) but we need to understand that this is a 2 tonnes luxury saloon that is not meant to be used as a sports car! Blistering barnacles I would kill to be in that driver seat to rev the monstrous engine and propel myself together with that huge chuck of mass to top speeds! For maximum enjoyment, I am definitely going to tune it for even more mind-blowing performance.

All in all, the F01 is a big, fast and mean car. Better don't mess with me when you see me on the road with it in future. I would not hesitate to leave you in a trail of blazing dust if you do. One of the interesting features which the F01 has is the Night Vision. I am not kidding, the damn car has night vision. It is also equipped with 10 Hellfire laser-guided missiles to obiliterate those typical road-hoggers that are as common as dirt on our roads. Refillables are purchasable from BMW Servicing Centre at $10 per stick. Remember to apply for your license to kill first though. Otherwise you might get in trouble with the law.

Now, drool over the sexy body of the F01!

Look at those evil looking rims!

I was going to photoshop my face in but oh well.

I am furiously black grrr grrr better stay away from me grrr grrr.

This was the original design for the F01. I think it looks kind of 'fierce' in certain ways but its definitely not going to garner points from the mainstream drivers. Some people already dubbed it the pig-nosed BMW... which I have to agree. Anyway, kudos the the BMW engineer who slapped the management and woke up their idea to change the design. Or whoever that person is.

Actually I should be working towards to getting the Nissan GTR35

but after watching The Transporter where Jason Statham races around the street with a classic 2001 BMW E38 (a previous 7-Series)

I am inspired (yet again) to be a different breed of racer! Racing in sports car is as common as dirt nowadays. Racing in a luxury sedan is something not much people will do and I shall be the one to do that! In any case, a luxury sedan will be less conspicuous than a glaring sports car on the road. Its like people wont think of a luxury sedan driver to be a pro street racer... easier to escape from police pursuit too haha.

Yada yada some of you might probably be lambasting me for my stupid resolution this year. Owning a 300k car within this year? I must be insane. Well before you shoot your mouth off any further, shut up and slap yourself. New year resolutions were NEVER meant to become true. Its just something people say and forget. Have yours come true? I guess not for most of us.

With that said, I still want to own a BMW F01 this year. Wish my luck. I need tonnes of it.

Hey y'all folks! A very Happy Lunar New Year to all of you. Sorry for my online inactivity these few days. There are so many things I am busy with that I don't really have sufficient time left to blog. I would like to thank those who still continues to frequent my blog. Your support is much appreciated!

I just had my reunion dinner at Crystal Jade Toa Payoh branch which is way too overpriced. For the kind of food they served, they should be happy if I were willing to even pay them a penny. But its ok, my brother's the one treating.

I am afraid I am going to have a bad start to the year of Ox. I am down with fever. I have been sleeping the whole day today hoping that I will recover by nightfall but alas, I was still sick. So I dragged my sick ass to the reunion dinner and forced myself to eat everything so that my parents would not suspect a thing. Among the stuff I ate: butter prawns, roast chicken, braised duck, braised chicken, oyster, steamed fish, gluttinous fried rice and yu sheng. Yes yes I know I am having fever but I am damn pissed that I always have to fall sick on festive occasion. So I wanted to challenge whatever divine being there is and use poison to counter poison. That is to say, I purposely ate all those fried oily stuff despite being sick. So far so good. Before I left home for the dinner, my thermometer reads 37.7 degrees. When I came back, the reading was 36.7 degrees. Even though my temperature is back to normal, I still feel somewhat sick. But I guess I am fine on the whole.

As you all might have already know, I am currently under the employment of City Bank.

I am supposed to help out in a certain Migration Project which involves the transferring of heaps and heaps of data from one system to another. Due to the reins of Corporate Secrecy Act, I am not allowed to talk about this project too freely. As such, I am going to talk about it in an expensive way.

= Pardon me, its been awhile since I last cracked jokes which nobody will laugh at =

So far, my sole responsibility is to retrieve our clients' dockets from our impregnable Millennium Data Vault (its just a normal vault, really) and to photocopy them for the migration process. As you might have expected, that is what I have been doing for the past few months at City. I have been photocopying and copying and copying and copying and copying so much that I believe I can photocopy all the documents with my eyes closed. I totally deserve a Diploma in Photocopying Studies:

Take note people, I will be getting my Degree in a few months time. But before that, I have 2000 plus more files to go.

As mundane as it might sound, my job actually provided some inspiration for me. I was flipping through this particular client's docket as usual, filtering out the pages which I do not need to copy and those that I need. Then I saw it. His monthly salary. Its a whooping $55, 000. Not per year but per month.

$55000 for EVERY MONTH!

Oh my god if I can have that kind of money I would go ahead and eat my MegaMac for lunch every single day. I won't have to worry about making my ends meet and counting how much I need to save up every week. I will go and slap $350,000 of CASH on Tan Chong Motors' agent's face and drive away in an Orange GTR35!

$55000 a month.

I was momentarily stunned when I saw the figure. Back when I was still a policeman, the highest salary which I heard of is $10000 plus plus per month. I thought that was alot already. But I know better now. Indeed, one mountain is higher than another mountain. Since that monumental discovery (ZOMG), I have been contemplating whether should I still go ahead with my Aerospace degree or should I switch to something business related so that I will be able to enter the Corporate world in future and become filthy rich. Its such a tough decision. To be frank I don't know what to choose! I think I should stick to my espionage path.

Other than that, work is generally fine. Nothing much to say for now.

me is now at national library studying about financial planning. I should have started a long time ago but I was either too "busy" or too "tired" to plan my money. but the truth is I am just plain lazy and kept procrastinating. what a shame and what waste of my time and money... but its better late than never. at least I realized the importance of financial freedom now! I am going to strive hard and make up for lost time and money. I WANT TO ATTAIN FINANCIAL FREEDOM!!!

HOLY COW! This is an abomination! The Starhub internet company took 3 days to restore my internet connection. THREE DAYS! What is wrong with them? I know I failed to pay the bill for 3 months straight (Dad, your the one responsible. I mean how can you "forget" to pay consecutively for 3 months!?) and Starhub has every right to terminate my connection for that. BUT if they can terminate it so quickly and efficiently, I would expect them to be that efficient too in restoring my connection upon receiving my payment but NO! They took three days. Ugh. Never mind, at least they bothered to restore my internet connection. That I give it to them. After all, its a company partly owned by the government. What to expect?

This two internet-less days made me realised something - internet has become a part of my life. It just feels weird without it. Even if I have nothing to do and have absolutely no reason to go online, I will still do so and just browse thru random sites. It has become something like a habit already. But of course, I will not shiver and cringe in agony without it, it hasnt got such a strong hold over me yet and I doubt it ever will. I do know that there are people who can't live a day without checking their e-mails, blogs, friendsters, facebook, neopets account, chatrooms, MSN, mIRC, WOW account, Maple Story account, YouTube, STOMP, porn etc though. These are really hardcore internet addicts. Their addiction is so strong that they have to - correction - DIE DIE must whip out their highly advanced MP3 players or handphones to go online in wireless hotspots in places like Starbucks and McDonalds. Hello people, if you are going out just to surf the net, why don't you save yourself time and money by surfing at home?

Then again, different people see things differently, they might feel its cool to be able to be connected to the net at all times. So be it.

SO, can you live without the internet? Or have your weak soul succumbed to the metal will of the World Wide Web?

I am currently under the employment of City Bank as a Staff Assistant. The job is quite simple; I just need to do what I am told.

The working environment is not half bad. My office is nice, nicer than my previous one, and the people there are generally very friendly, except for a few but thats alright. We can't expect everybody to like us can we? Oh, did I forget to mention, my workplace is at Millenia Tower which is next to Centennial Tower and opposite both the Singapore Flyer and Pan Pacific Hotel.

The only thing about my job which I have something to say about is lunch. It is somewhat expensive to eat at Millenia Walk area. All the food courts and fast food joints are just extra burden to my wallet. I can't get anything decent that costs less than $4! How I wish they can have a $2 chicken rice stall like the one at my house here.

I am considering moving my blog to a new site and am currently experimenting with the new website. Once everything is finalized, I might update again.
