Such a sad piece of music. It gets to me, makes me want to cry. Makes me feel like everything else in the room is in black and white. Makes me feel like I am the only soul living in this mad world. Makes my hair stand on ends, though I suspect this is due to the air-conditioner.

"The Lonely Man" The ending theme for the final episode of the Incredible Hulk TV series back in 1977. Though I have never watched the series, I find it to be an apt theme for the last episode. Coupled with the final few scenes, the combination really make audiences feel sad for the series to end.

Which brings to mind the amount of love/emo/sad/unhappy/suicidal songs in the music industry these days. Is the singer really singing about some genuinely sad stuff, or does he just want to capitalize on human emotions to sell as much of his albums as possible?

Anyways, I stumbled upon "The Lonely Man" not because I went on a quest for classical music but because I just watched this:

Oh the irony of music sometimes. Haha.

Here's a full version, for those who might be interested.

Its already 7pm. Ima gonna grab a bite. Then back to more studying. Bummer.
A lonely man. Studying for his exams. Which only ends this Friday.

Friday.

NO! WTF am i thinking.

Me Gusta is an internet meme that has been around since 2010 (date of origin disputed).

The face is the expression given when responding to an awkward or disgusting event (e.g. when you enter your room to see your roomie fapping off, you can give this face to him).

The accompanying "Me Gusta" means "I like it" in Spanish. Yeap. An awkward and disgusting event which you like. What could be more awkward?

It was originally used only in sexually perverse contexts (e.g. I can't think of any) but have since broadened to include a more general, disturbing enjoyment.

For some reason, I find myself being intrigued by the Me Gusta face. I even got it on my phone's wallpaper!

And then, to drive home the point of this internet meme, I created a RAGE comic featuring Me Gusta.

I need to rant. Really.

The world is never fair. And never will be. Everyone knows that. But yet, we still feel that we are not receiving enough in our daily existence.

AND THAT IS MOFOKINGLY CORRECT!

FUCK YOU NATURE! FUCK YOU HIGHER DIVINE BEING! FUCK YOU UNIVERSE.

Stop screwing with me. I have had enough of this shit from you fucked up higher beings, if you ever exist. Really. FUCK YOU!

DO NOT send the meat to my lips, only to pull it away from me when I am about to take a bite. Seriously.

If you intend to carry on this fucked up game of yours. Just kill me immediately. Take my life away. Let me die during my sleep tonight. Let me die in my exam hall tomorrow. Whatever.

Or could it be you can only pull all those dirty stunts and can't kill me? I would love to see you try. Or are you guys really nothing more than just irritating pests that have no reason to exist in our dimensions.

If you are not gonna kill me, STOP SCREWING WITH ME FUCKING MORONS!

FUCK!

Alright. 3 papers down. Since my next paper is four days later, I can spare some time to post an entry.

When I returned to school on Sat afternoon, I had only $20 in my purse. After dinner on Saturday night and 3 meals on Sunday, I am pretty much broke on Monday. The natural thing one would do is to withdraw cash from the ATM right? Well, that's what I did (duh), except that the nearest ATM which is at canteen A was faulty.

I had two choices, walk to South Spine where there's another ATM there, or walk to Canteen 2 where there's an ATM as well. I went with choice number 3, borrowing money from my friends first. Come Tuesday morning, the 10 bucks I borrowed was depleted. So thinking that the ATM at canteen A was repaired already, I went to withdraw some cash.

Bummer. It was still down. For your information, it wasn't the State Bank of India's ATM and yes my school has a State Bank of India ATM. Don't ask me why. I believe the Bank of China's ATM will come anytime soon, supplementing the existing Developmental Bank of Chinapore.

With no reserves and friends to borrow from at that time, I did the dreaded act of lugging my arse all the way to South Spine. When I was walking towards the ATM from afar, I saw a man in front of the machine. I thought he was using it initially but upon closer inspection (namely, a peek across his shoulders), I saw him texting on his phone. He saw me peeping at him and gestured for me to use the machine first.

"How polite.", I thought. I inserted my card into the card slot but there was some resistance and I had to use more force than usual to push my card in. I didn't thought much about it but this minor 'glitch' would turn out to become something worse towards the end of my transaction.

Here's the thing. The ATM didn't release my card. I waited. And waited. And my card still didn't come out of the machine.

WHAT THE FISH? YOU DIDN'T RELEASE MY CARD YOU DUMB MACHINE! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO TAKE IT OUT OF YOUR DAMN HOLE?

"Hey, your card cannot come out right? My one also."

I turned around and looked at the uncle. A sudden fire raged within me. That sonofabeach knew that the machine was faulty but didn't tell me. He gestured for me to use the machine without warning me that the machine could be faulty. He saw me forcing the card into the card slot but didn't tell me anything. And now he is asking me a retarded question.

Shagged from last night's late night mugging. Woke up after less than 5 hours of sleep. Dead hungry but doesn't have the money to buy food. Want to withdraw cash but the damn-ed machines are throwing tantrums. And now, a bloody machine robbed me of my ATM card because some retarded uncle thought it would be amusing to land me in the same predicament as him.

I had a good mind to hurl my most potent vulgarities at him, short of physically hurling him into the ATM.

Goodness. I mean come on. If I am using an ATM and I found out that something is wrong about it, I would let the next user (if there is any) know that the machine is faulty. In fact, I believe most people would as well, except for a few sadistic psychobastard like this mofo in question. I will not stand there, pretending to text on my phone and see if the next user's card will get swallowed by the machine!

By the time these raging emotions went through my head, he was already on his phone with a banking officer. After explaining to her what his problem was, he offered to lend me his phone so that I can speak to the banking officer as well, instead of me having to call the bank personally.

You know, I really should have declined his offer. (Which is most probably just to disguise his innate evil self.)

After berating the banking officer (I was in a foul mood already), I handed back the phone to him and just walked off.

What. The. Fuck. That pathetic asshole wants me to thank him? Yeah sure. Thanks for making me lose my ATM card you KANNINABU HONG GAN CHAO CHEE BYE LAN JIAO!

I really, really had the thought of throwing a punch at him. No. Actually I wanted to kick him squarely in his groins.

And then, as if not happy that his attempt to get me to thank him resulted in a fierce glance instead:

Professor? OoooooHooooooHhhhhoooooooh. I. am. so. scared. so. terribly. scared. please. don't. punish. me. professor.

FUCK YOU LAH.

I am the fucking dictator of the new Fourth Reich who will take over the world in 50 years time and I will be coming after you personally, Professor.

On retrospect, its kind of amusing how he tried to intimidate me when he failed to make me comply. Sorry old man. You are nobody. At best, you are just a prick who ruined the start of a perfect day for me. And if you are really a professor, I suspect you are a phony one. Besides, you have no right to go lecture others when you can't even behave appropriately yourself.

With a flick of my finger, I turned away and continue with my mundane mugging for that day.

"Repression, Sir, is a habit that grows. I am told it is like making love - it is always easier the second time! The first time, there may be pangs of conscience, a sense of guilt. But once embarked on this course with constant repetition, you get more and more brazen in the attack. All you have to do is banish and detain the key political workers in this society. Then an intimidated press and the government-controlled radio can regularly sing your praises, and slowly and steadily the people are made to forget the evil things that have already been done, or if these things are referred to again, they are conveniently distorted and distorted with impunity, because there will be no opposition to contradict."

May 06, 2011

I believe everyone has a special something that will stimulate their senses. It could be your shoe, your socks, her legs, his smell. Whatever it may be, when you are exposed to that 'special something', most often than not, you will transcend into a state of perpetual bliss, the feeling which makes you feel you are in heaven - but only to find yourself sinking back into reality moments later. The stimulation losing its effect.

Sometimes, you want to be stimulated again. But as with all good things, it doesn't happen all the time. Of course, there are always exceptions. Certain people can be stimulated multiple times in a row, thanks to their genes. But its ok. Each and everyone of us are unique and special. No need to worry yourself silly about how many times you can be stimulated each day.

There is more to life than just deriving short-lived pleasure from mundane actions.

I would like to share my stimuli - the ooh-la-la mojo - which turns me on.

Behold.

THE DELL PRECISION M6600!

May 01, 2011

Yes I know I should be studying but hey! I just had dinner. So it's fine to take a break. Right?

I would like to share a piece of news with the world (or whoever still bothers to grace my nonsensical blog with your presence). Its about a small incident that happened in Singapore a few years ago. Yes. Singapore. And we are not in China. Neither are we in Malaysia.

We are an independent sovereign state with our own economy, military and other stuff an independent country would have.

Yeah. I know. The dot representing us on the map is larger than our land area. But we all know who won in the David-Goliath showdown.

Anyways, 2 years ago, back in 2009, a mother and her son went to meet their Member of Parliament to seek for financial aid. (A Member of Parliament is someone who is representing us in Parliament) The mother is an odd-job worker and has a monthly income of less than $500 a month while the son is mentally handicapped.

The mother had lost her job recently because she injured her wrist while on duty (which I think is ridiculous. I mean c'mon - getting fired for injuring oneself on the job?). With her monthly income gone, she can't pay her bills and stuff. Even HDB threatened to repossess her flat if she don't pay up soon.

All the mother wanted was for her MP, a certain Cynthia Phua, to write a letter for her asking HDB to reconsider her current situation and not repossess the flat. She got the letter in the end, but not without being scrutinized by the MP first.

When they were about to leave, for some reason unbeknownst, the son threw a chair at a door before leaving the MP's office. He only threw a chair at a door. And he stopped after that. But the grassroots leaders present decided it was a crime severe enough to warrant his arrest and so, they called for the police and the boy was handcuffed and sent to a station hours later.

Granted, the son's action was sudden and its natural for one to assume he might start attacking people. But, he stopped after throwing the chair. On top of that, he is only a 17 year old teenager who was with his mother at that time. A teenager and an old lady. You mean to say the grassroots leader present couldn't restrain him if anything were to happen? Must they really involve the police?

The son could have felt humiliated by the way Cynthia Phua interrogated his mother and him earlier. Or maybe he was frustrated at how little the MP can do to alleviate the sufferings of his mother. Or maybe he was sick of coming back to the same place over and over again to ask for financial assistance. Or maybe it was the condescending looks he perceived others to be giving him.

There are many possible reasons for the son's sudden outburst but the people present at that time didn't bother to access the situation. They simply assumed the son was being violent and decided to call the police.

Seriously. If that's the intellectual level of all our grassroot leaders, then I think Dumb and Dumber and Dumberer can do a better job.

But never mind, maybe its in our instinct to call the police whenever we see trouble.

Since the son is mentally handicapped and cannot defend for himself, I am sure his mother knows what is going. She could explain things to the MP and in turn, the MP could told the Police that it was a misunderstanding and asked them to release the son unconditionally.

BUT NO!

A certain minister up there decided that the full weight of the law MUST be brought down upon the son to make sure that he will not commit the same mistake again.

Hello. Are you kidding me?

You are going to punish someone who is already so destitute for something which could just be a simple misunderstanding. What do you call this? Justice? Fuck no. Bullying sounds more appropriate. And for some reason, 'stemming all opposition' and 'don't mess with me' comes to my mind as well.

In a bid to justify her decisions, the minister said that the chair which the boy threw could have killed somebody. If the boy was really out to kill someone, I don't think he will be throwing the chair at a door. He would be throwing it at SOMEONE! Goodness. That is not rocket science logic you know.

What is going on in this country? People can feel threatened by a chair (that is not even flying in their direction) and have to take action against the perpetrator.

Then what about the escape of some terrorist detained by us recently? Wouldn't that have killed more than a chair could if he managed to re-plot his master plan? So why are the parties responsible not dealt with accordingly?

Or that religious man going around smearing and mocking other religions recently? Wouldn't racial riots cause more deaths than a chair could? So how come his letter of apology is accepted, but not the son's?

I feel frustrated for the mother and the son. They were only just seeking help but trouble came their way. However, that trouble was intentionally brought upon them. No matter how I analyze the story, I still believe that the whole thing could have been settled peacefully, with no need for the police or the judge.

It shows alot about our politicians and who they really are. Bringing the full weight of the law down upon a criminal?

Don't make me laugh.

By the way, you can read about the full incident here

I can't sleep and I have a quiz later at 8.30 am.

My initial plan was to sleep at 10pm yesterday night and wake up at 6am today to revise but I ended up waking at 12am and stayed awake all the way until now. Damn that ccb thermodynamics assignment. It screwed up my sleeping hours over the past few days. Never in my 3.8 semesters of university life have I dread an assignment so much before. Thank goodness I am done with it. I say good riddance!

I was wondering how to make myself sleep before 12am today. I need to reverse my body clock. So, I went to our friendly internet assistant, Google (never mind that they know anything and everything about what you've searched and where you have been), to get some answers.

Warm milk sounds nice. A hot bath - really? Soft music, meditation and massage all makes me feel sleepy already. And then comes sex. LOL. I was amused by this solution.

Can you imagine telling your spouse next time "Hey, I need to sleep. Let's fuck."
But I have to agree, it works.

Unfortunately, that option is not available for me. So I will probably buy a couple of beer, drink myself drunk and go to sleep.

As the ancient Chinese saying goes:

I've just finished watching the final installment of the Saw series. All I can say is, it was stunning. OK, ignoring the traps and stuff, this movie actually has a brilliant plot! Look through the gore. Look through the abomination. Look at the masterfully crafted storyline.

I will blog more about the movie soon.

Meanwhile, some screenshots.

Today, something interesting happened; someone felt threatened by my masculinity and was compelled enough to do something to try and put me down.

Okay. Maybe he wasn't threatened by my masculinity. Maybe its just me getting ahead of myself. Maybe he is just providing sound advise to the other person involved. Maybe.

So, here goes.

It was 11.30am and I was in the hangar with my group doing our aircraft design manufacturing project (we were really just building aircraft models, not that much of a big deal). We were there since 10.30am trying to get our goddamn dodo-bird-of-a-model to fly. Then, one of those moments came where suddenly, my services wasn't required by the group, in other words, I had nothing to do. So I sat at the table minding my own business, mainly just stoning.

Awhile later, this other girl from my group suddenly had nothing to do as well. So she came over and sat next to me. I chatted with her for abit and she asked if she could see my mobile phone because she wants to get a BlackBerry after her mobile plan ends later this year. Naturally, I just took my phone out and lent it to her. It was just a friendly gesture on my part, but not that friendly in the eyes of another member in my group.

Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery saw her borrowing my phone and felt the need to do something. Like a chivalrous knight rushing to the aid of a princess who is about to be devoured by an evil dragon, he came up to our table and sat next to her, telling her that BlackBerry is no good and she should consider getting an Android phone.

I believe in free choices and that everyone has the freedom to choose what gadgets they want to own. So I thought maybe Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery was just trying to give the princess more choices by telling her about his phone. But, that was not the case.

When Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery realized that the girl was still looking at my BlackBerry even after he spoke up, he pressed on.

Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery: "Hey, BlackBerry useless one. Don't buy. Android better."

Princess: "No, its not useless. I like it."

Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery: "Yeah, I know it looks nice but really, I feel that for the price you pay, you are getting damn little back in terms of functionality."

Princess: "Really? But I like the BBM."

Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery: "The BBM useless one. Nobody uses it. Android got Whatsapp. Better. Don't buy BlackBerry. Useless one."

Princess: *Continues looking at my BlackBerry*

Throughout the conversation, Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery tried showing his phone to her but the princess wasn't really interested. Well, she took a glace at it. You know, somehow I feel that if Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery can grab my BlackBerry from her and throw it away, I am sure he would.

To make an absolute claim such as "BlackBerries are useless" reflects his lack of knowledge in the field of mobile technology. In other words, he is merely shooting his mouth off, without using his head. And what's with selling what he is using so vehemently to the girl? Maybe he is a die-hard Android fan. I can give him that. But the last I remembered, he enjoys playing Angry Birds on his iPod touch.

To top it all off, he said all those in front of yours truly, the owner of the BlackBerry phone, and in a condescending tone as well. Wow. Things couldn't get any more subtle.

I really cannot comprehend what Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery is trying to get at. I wanted shoot him back but then realized there is no point in doing so. After all, the girl still wasn't interested in getting an Android phone.

Okay. So I might be thinking too much into the actions of Sir Encarnacion Percival Montgomery. But can I be blamed for thinking that way?

I am replaying Final Fantasy 8 on my PSP out of boredom due to lack of games to play, no thanks to my Macbook which cannot play any decent games. I have gotten to Disc 4 and am in the midst of trying to defeat the most-ultimate-super-duper-mega-uber-cb strong monster boss in the game - Omega Weapon.

Yes, that's the most-ultimate-super-duper-mega-uber-cb strong monster boss in discussion here. Look at how badass it looks; it has got an EVIL face where its groin should be!

Okay never mind me.

Playing the game for the x-th time, really I can't remember how many times I played and completed this personal favorite of mine - it was my first Final Fantasy game and it led me on into the other worlds of fantasy where I dreamt I was forever 17. As I was saying, even after playing it for the x-th time, I still find one famous quote by Squall to be most true:

"(Think what you want... Reality isn't so kind. Everything doesn't work out the way you want it to. That's why...) As long as you don't get your hopes up, you can take anything... You feel less pain. Anyway, whatever wish you have is none of my business."

And his quote speaks for itself; the only certainty about the future is its uncertainty. I held that quote as my guiding principle for a large part of my life (c'mon, we once idolized characters like Power Rangers when we were young didn't we?) and for better or for worst, I am where I am today.

However, in recent years, I tried to break free of that restricting bound, to live life the way most people perceived as the best way to live life; embrace the future, look forward to a better tomorrow everyday and ultimately, your dreams will come true. Well. All I can say is, I am not any happier than before. In fact, I feel that I am less happy than when I was living life the Squall way.

The despair that comes from not being able to achieve my aims really can be quite hard to swallow sometimes. Not being able to achieve my aims is still alright. After all, its something which I plan to do and as with all plans, there are bound to be failures. I just have to expect less from now on.

It is when something which I firmly believe will happen but doesn't happen that crushes me into the 19th level of hell. I was told to believe that what I want will happen. Hold on to my belief firmly. Ignore all other adversaries. Firmly stay my course and work towards what I want and I will eventually get it. That simple.

And so, naively, I followed that rule. I thought about what I want all day and all night. I tried to do things to accelerate its fruition. I thought of what I would do when I get what I wanted. I thought of the change that will follow. I believed. I really believed. Days passed. Months passed. I can't recall if years actually passed but for the sake of theatrics - years passed.

It eventually came to a point when I realized: "Dude, this ain't gonna happen. Stop lying to yourself."

Lying to myself.

So all this while, firmly holding on to my beliefs, I have been self-delusional. I didn't ask for the moon. Neither did I ask for divine intervention to vaporize the whole of China. I wanted something mundane. To enjoy the pleasures of living. That's all.

Sure, some could argue maybe I didn't wait long enough. I am no saint. I am a mere mortal, with limited patience. And enough sense to know the possible outcome of what I am doing. If you still insist on telling me my faith isn't strong enough, all I have to say to you is you're getting poisoned by Hollywood. Get your ass out in the sun and exercise for a change.

When something you really yearn for turns out to be nothing more than a puff of smoke - and you knew that it is going to be a puff of smoke but still kept trying to catch it - and realizing that you were probably consoling yourself yourself by telling yourself that it will happen soon enough all this while --- its worst than being in Challenger's Deep with your pajamas. I wonder if 19th level is even enough to describe this rancor.

So much for "the future is bright".

I remember,
date and time,
September twenty second,
Sunday twenty five after nine.

In the doorway with your case,
no longer shouting at each other,
there were tears on our faces.

And we were letting go of something special,
something we'll never have again,
I know, I guess I really really know.

The day you went away.

OH MY GOD!

This is such a mean prank but I so like it! Hehehehehehehe.

Now now. Should I do this in future? Is it even right for me to think about it LOLOL. Maybe I shall try it on some of my friends. With something else other than cockroaches.

NIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHIHI *evil grins*
Haizzz.

I am suffering from Down's syndrome recently. Feeling really down even though I tried standing up over and over. Have I been trying too hard? Or am I getting ahead of myself? Squall was right about not getting your hopes up after all.

So, being the down person that I am now, I can't do any productive work. I was supposed to finished my lab report by today - oh, its past 12 already, so it should be yesterday but I just lazed my day away doing nothing.

I will never be able to pull my GPA up this way. I asked one of my friends how did he get his obscenely disgusting grades the other day and his answer to me was to study day in and day out. I kid you not. He is not just brushing me off with some generic answer. He really study DAY IN and DAY OUT. In other words, immediately after school, during breaks or during any free time he has, he will camp at the school's library to read through the textbook and try to attempt every single question in it. And he does this for every module.

If that is what I have to do to get a GPA 5.0 (or 4.9), I wonder how close am I to achieving that now.

No matter. I believe life is more than just academics. There's Facebook, beer, WWE, Engadget and Youtube. Speaking if Youtube, i found this super funny video which I just have to share.

GIMME GIMME WAR GIMME WAR!

My Aerodynamics lecturer showed us this video during class today. Without a doubt, a jet engine is a badass power machine. But what must be even more badass are the brakes holding the plane stationery under the immense thrust of the engines! I am gonna buy one and aim it at, erm, my neighbour's house? If I am still staying in hall, I will aim it downstairs.

Maybe I could steal the engine on display in my school's laboratory. Hehe.

Reading it in a book is one thing. Seeing the cold hard facts with my own eyes is totally another. Not many people knows about such abomination going on in the meat industry around the world. Most just eat their food and never bothered about its origins. After all, food is just food right?

It is our very demands for meat that fuels the existence of such practices in the industry. We want meat and we want it affordable. To maximise their profits, meat industries capitalize on our demand and rear animals the way they do in the video; squeezing as much animals as possible into as small a space as possible to save land costs, feeding the animals waste to save on feed costs, slaughtering them with massive machines to save on operational costs and handling them in the crudest way possible to save on human resource costs.

Think about it. Animals being cruelly treated in slaughterhouses is an open secret which many governments know. But why are industry leaders still allowed to carry on with it?

Its a pretty fucked-up world we live in. A vicious cycle. On one hand, we have people lobbying for animal rights but on the other, we have people eating them, as well as treating them in the worst way possible. Talk about eating out the end of your tail.

I am pretty sure people who watched the video will feel disgusted but at the end of the day, their diet still remains the same.

How many people will actually make a difference by changing their diet?

On a side note, I can't help but feel that one day, when aliens or some other un-discovered intelligent species on Earth conquered us, will humans ever end up like the animals in the video?

Volkswagen Commercial: The Force

Ahahaha. Stupid kid. OK maybe not stupid. Willing to believe in wonders might be a better description.

Nice car from Volkswagen. I want it.

Its a Saturday morning!

I just came back from Lorong Koo Chye Ba Temple where my mom made my family go to pray for good luck. She went to the temple at 5am in the morning to get a good waiting number (yes, people queue at the temple at the earliest time possible to be the first few to get blessed by the taoist priest. Think of it like the iPhone release day). When my father, brother and me arrived at about 9am, the number flashing on the queuing board is 132 (yes, I was at a temple). Our number is 233.

I really respect my mom for doing this every year. For the benefit of the family, she dragged herself out of bed at 4am, cab down to the temple, queue for the number (whether she jockeyed other aunties in the process, I don't know) and finally, waited at the temple alone for several hours for us, just so we could sleep in later. I guess that's why mothers are the noblest person in the world. Every family has one!

While waiting for our turn, I walked to the Zodiac chart to check out my fortune for this year; my blossom luck will be good (really?) but my financial luck is only so-so. Career wise, I will meet some expensive people who will assist me but since I am still studying, I hope that also means some expensive people will come help improve my GPA. I saw something about "Six Misfortunes" afflicting me this year but even so, the chart says it won't amount to much problems for those born in the year of the Dragon. A generally good year for me I guess.

My mom bought muah-chee for me. So nice.

By 10am, the number flashing on the queuing board is only 180. Worried that she might miss her ferry to Batam at 11am, my mom went to ask some temple attendant if we would go first or something. Guess what? The attendant asked us to just sneak into the queue line outside the Blessing Room and keep silent about our number. Wow. Isn't that like... cheating? And its kinda easy isnt it? Haha. Either way, we did just that and managed to get blessed 50 spots ahead of our turn.

I wonder if the deities know...

Ahhhh. But the attendant said we could!

I saw a couple of idioms at the temple which I though I should share it with others:

恶语伤人六月寒
(Badmouthing others will bring yourself 6 months of cold)
良言一句三冬暖
(Saying good things will keep you warm through 3 winters)
烦恼只因强出头
(Vexation comes only because you try too hard)
是非只因多开口
(Scandals/gossip comes only because you speak withing thinking)

Ok. My translation may not be entirely correct but the general meaning is to be nice to others and be carefree.

There are weird stuff. And then there are even weirder stuff.

Have you ever thought of what you will do if your shit suddenly comes alive and starts attacking you? Even though I am kind of a whacky person, that scenario never once came across my mind. After all, shit is just... shit right? But in Japan, shit is something more sinister...

WTF Japan. WTF?!

P.S. Sihua, please be safe. I want my Pikachu merchandise.

Chinese New Year seems to be more lively this year. Relatives were generally more friendly. And there's more APM flowing around as well. It was a good CNY celebration. But... things seem to be going a little too well. Maybe its just me?

Hmm...

My big cousin uncle said I look like 费翔, a chinese singer back from the 80s. Wow. Someone thinks I look like a superstar!

Maybe not. Bleh.

Hello people. It has been so long since I last blogged.

That is because my internet connection was down and no, its not down because I am living in Egypt. Its because somebody refuses to foot the internet bill (even though it was his responsibility). After ignoring all the bills sent to our home for the last 10 months, that person finally decided to foot the bill last Friday - a total sum of $598.00.

Like "WTH" right? Come on, even if he doesnt know what an avalanche is, he should at least know that a small snowball will become a huge snowball if you allow it to roll continuously down a slope. And that huge snowball will eventually crush him to death.

But never mind. Since he has already foot the bill (no thanks to his initiative) and since its going to be the first day of Lunar New Year soon, I shall be nice and stop talking about his retarded decision making skills.

Yes, in about 30 minutes time, the Year of the Rabbit will begin in the Lunar Calendar. As a matter of fact, I just came back not long ago from my Reunion Dinner. Sephiroth wasnt present but otherwise, the food was great. All that is left now is too wait for the ang pows tomorrow. As well as the gathering of all my family members. Haha.

Since its gonna be a new year soon, let me share one health tip with you guys which will help to achieve a better you.

Lift up your t-shirt and place your palm slightly below your right nipple. What lies underneath that patch of skin in that area is your liver. The liver is the largest organ in your body that can weight up to 1.8kg in adults. It's primary function is to purge toxins from your blood. Some other things it does is converting ammonia into urea and producing bile to break down all those fats you ingested along together with your curry chicken, mega mac, bak chor mee, satay, naan, roti prata and what nots.

Think of your liver as a filter in the fish tank. The filter removes waste particles from the water and keeps the fish tank clean.

A picture paints a thousand words. So let's have a graphic representation.

And another one.

Like a tamagotchi, our liver has an internal biological clock which dictates the liver's 'operating hours'.

9 - 11 PM:

Prime time for the liver to detox our antibody system.

Ideally, one should be relaxing and chilling during this time period so as to place minimal stress on our liver, allowing it to function smoothly.

11PM - 1AM:

Prime time for the liver to detox itself. This can be done best when you are in deep sleep.

1AM - 3AM:

Prime time for the liver to detox our gall. Likewise, it is ideal for you to be asleep during this period.

3AM - 5AM:

Prime time for the liver to detox our lungs. Since this involves our respiratory tracts, you might experience sudden coughing during this period. But its normal and the coughs will die off eventually. And you guessed it. Its best to be asleep.

5AM - 7AM:

Prime time for the liver to detox our colon. You should be awake to empty your bowels.

9AM onwards till 9PM:

Liver produces bile during this period which is then used to digest all the food you ate. Bile production is higest at 9am and decreases to the lowest at 9pm, which is why you shouldn't eat too late at night. If you really have to eat, make do with fruits and vegetables. These are easier to digest than meat.

So, by sleeping early and avoiding suppers or eating late dinners, we will place less strain on our delicate liver which in turn, enables it to purge our bodies of undesirable toxins more efficiently. This will ultimately translate into a healthier you. And better skin complexion!

As the ancient chinese saying goes "Sleeping and waking early is good for your body."

And, as I say, "Always start your day with a dump!".

With that, I wish everyone a healthy start to the Year of the Rabbit!

Yes, the People's Republic of China has succeeded in manipulating hyperspace. Although they only managed to teleport a single particle, I am damn sure they will not rest until they can teleport the entire Terracotta Army to the doorstep of Washington D.C.

Photobucket

And when that happens, Russian President Medvedev will be thinking how fortunate he was to have signed that treaty with China.

Photobucket

When that day comes, I hope some astronomical catastrophe - an unprecedented super massive coronal mass ejection, Jupiter crashing into Earth, a black hole floating past our atmosphere or the Sun deciding to go supernova - will happen to wipe out all life on Earth.

The day when China rules the world... is unthinkable.

Oh, in case you are wondering, I got this piece of information from WikiLeaks.

Admiral Kizaru of the Marines.

For some reason, I feel like cos-playing him. The thought came into my mind after I watched him in action in the One Piece anime where he goes around kicking people at the speed of light like nobody's business.

Here's a guy who did a pretty nice cos-play of Kizaru (but the suit looks kinda... tacky). I think its the shape of the mouth. I wonder if I can shape my mouth like that. Hmm...

Or, I could combine Pikachu and him together to cos-play two of my favorite characters at one go! (Notice the mouth shape again.)
