Today's lessons were very interesting because I realised that the Law and the Constitution are somewhat twistable. Yes. Twist-able.

I was told by someone that I got what it takes to become an actor and I believed he meant comedian. He asked me to join MediaCorp. How amusing. Me as an actor? Never thought of it. But hey who knows! I never in my entire 18 years of life thought that I would end up being a police officer. Talk about expecting the unexpected. So perhaps somewhere in the future, you might see me on national TV.

I found the following video which is very inspirational to me.

Phone Salesman Amazes Crowd

You can see that before he even starts singing his opera, the judges already gave him some disapproving looks. The audiences weren't really sure if he could make it as well. What do you expect? His job is a cell phone salesman and he don't look like a singer. Definitely not an opera guy. BUT in the end, HE has the last laugh. He overwhelmed everybody with his extraordinary singing.

I just love it when his singing turned disapproving faces into amazed ones.

How to say it. Its like he was being underestimated but he proved his worth to everyone in the end and gained recognition from everybody. That feeling is like soooooooo shiok!

Anyway, his singing is really beautiful. Better than Taufik or Hady. Even Cowell admits that he is fantastic.

Believe in yourself and do your best.

All people out there, watch out for me. I might look like a wretched soul but I shall become... er...

Hiya!

Today, I learnt new PDT moves! Namely blocking and front rolling and back rolling. Interesting. I liked front rolling especially. Looks like ninja. HAHA.

And so, lesson ended at 2100++ hours. I came back and was browsing thru the web on my laptop when I found this freaking video. It shows a CCTV footage in a London Dungeon museum and well, mysterious shadows can be seen appearing in it. Ghost or not? You decide!

PS I got abit disturbed after watching this video because after all... I am in Home Team Academy now where paranormal activities happened before during my stay here... Even typing this sends a chill down my spine.

Without further ado;

Today shall be the day whereby I passed my T-baton handling test and is now certified to wield the deadly weapon on the streets.

June 10, 2007

I have the entire room to myself tonight because my buddy will only be booking in tomorrow morning as a reward for "volunteering" to "fill the seats" at a police basketball match in old PA.

In other words, I would be alone.

Just myself.

I am still young. I have so many unfulfilled ambitions.

Please, let tonight be a peaceful one. Just one night.

Leave me alone...

I am sorry for all the bad things I done in the past.

... stay away

Just ended seeing Red Eye, a Korean horror flick. Not very horrible to me though. Plus the ending is kinda screwed up. And by that, I don't mean the plot is screwed up. just that near to the end, the film starts to lag and lag and start playing pieces by pieces. i wan to complain but to whom? the pirates of the caribbean? hmmm... never mind. the ending should be those kind of happy endings. with one or two unexpected death. maybe.

Goodness gracious me! I can't believed I just typed a paragraph of downright abyssmal passage. Apparently, NS seem to make one more regressive academically. It is no exception even for me, who is currently studying law at the Home Team ACADEMY.
I don't feel like sleeping yet. Thats because I slept for abit when I came home just now. I feel no fatigue as of now. Maybe I should go run my two point four. but I don't want to risk bumping into something paranormal. i know! i can run at home! 120 laps between the kitchen and living room would give my 2.4km. hehe.
PDP was over last sunday. ASEANAPOL was over last monday. the PM dint stop and talk to me during the inspection. so be it. as least i got to be a GUARD OF HONOR! my heart goes all out to my SISPEC and OCS counterparts who only can be GUARD OF FOREST and GUARD DUTIES in their tua-pek-gong-knows how many field camps.
field camp... sounds so foreign to me. police #1... looks so ugly to me.

some of you all might think that GOH siaz. big dehz. glorious. honor. etc. well, from what i see, we trained for like 2 months just for some 20 minutes of performance. and that 20 minutes pass by very quickly. i felt so empty after the parade. its like. "hey, we are the GOH, we parade ourselves in this year's police day parade, march pass and buh-bye!" period. apart from during that fleeting 20 minutes.. i believe nobody would bother to think about us anymore. OCT Squad 01/07 comprising of YONG CHENG JIN, so and so and so and so... performed in 2007's PDP. who cares? after all, EVERY Officer Cadet Trainee batch will get to be GOH in the PDP every year. so if you think about it, its no longer very grand. even if the PM talks to you also no big deal. sure, your family members and friends will remember that you were once a GOH. but so? and also remember that memories fade with time. i need to do something BIG so that i would leave my place in the history of mankind. hmm. i could be that first singaporean to defect to the CIA! maybe not. not big enough. hmmmmmm. i cant think of anything at the moment. so lets skip this part.
I was the IC of my squad for thursday and friday. first time sia. then ended up giving wrong commands aha. but at least the squad knows wat to do. the only comment i have about my squad.. is... well, we are generally slack in our discipline. i mean. its like. its not like the army where we got sergeants, corporals and lieutenant-generals hurling verbal abuses at you and threatening to charge you confine you pump you screw you whatever you if you dont do this do that do whatever. the norm is that people tend to assume OCTs are supposed to be a league above others and knows how to conduct themselves properly. but from what i see... lets just say stereotypes are dangerous assumptions. sometimes in my dormitory, i would start thinking how it would be like if i was posted to OCS.. more disciplined. tougher trainings for stronger bodies. field camps. better food.. i would get my 2nd Lieutenant rank and the SWORD OF HONOR. then i would move on to command a platoon in a real combat unit where we would then be posted off to Iraq to fight the war against terror! we would be successful and for my merits, i would be promoted straightaway to major! NS major in 2 yrs. now that would be something big. alternatively, after i got my 2LT, i would be posted to commandos and be assigned to the top secret sneaking and evaesdropping unit. there, i would learn the ropes of a secret agent and become THE BOSS of singapore... ok nvm. looks like my military fantasies will be here to stay.

3.18am now. not a single thinge of tiredness. lets carry on.

tadah! my new wallpaper. i was getting sick of my old one. so i tot i would find a new one! cute isnt it. can stare-down with it somemore! hehe. i was thinking of pikachu initially but i already got that my HTA laptop. so ya.

this is a very disturbing costume IMO. but i admit, its quite funny. still, i won't encourage ppl to wear it. ted, please curb ur desires. ur tool arent that big...

The HMS Victory(foreground). My dream flagship for my "Pirates of the Caribbean" fantasy. I got so mesmerised by the series that I start picturing myself as a privateer in that era in the Caribbean. But I realised that the HMS Victory, though superior in firepower, sucks in the speed department. With a maximum speed of 7 knots, most pirates and my other prey would be able to escape me. So I decided to find another ship. . . .
... and I decided to use the Visby-class stealth corvette! It excels in both the firepower and speed department! Its single Bofors 57mm Mark III gun can fire up to 220 rounds/minute and if thats not enough, i will have spare Bofors Dynamics RBS 15 anti-ship missiles and ASW 127mm rocket-powered grenade launchers to strike the enemy ship. What if I ran into the Flying Dutchman that can submerge in water like a submarine, you might ask. No worries. I have the Saab Underwater Systems Tp 45 anti-submarine homing torpedoes to deal with it. Ha. And this corvette is a speed demon. Its maximum speed is a whooping 35 knots. That would be faster, many times faster, than the Black Pearl, which is said to be the fastest ship in the Caribbean. Not anymore haha! The best part is that the Visby corvette is built to be stealthy. See the awkard angles at which the sides of the ship slopes at? and the many flat surfaces on the ship? they are meant to reduce its signature on the enemy's radar screen. opps, i forgot, they don't have no radar back in that era. Captain CJ Yong is here to stay in the Caribbean.

3.44am. i am getting tired of crapping. shall go sleep now and start dreaming about my fantasies.
