I wasn't even remembered for one night.
What more can I say.
Such derisiveness.....

Somebody wake me up!!!

Military Profile:

Name: Yong Cheng Jin
Rank: Recruit
Company: Bronco
Details: Platoon 3, Section 4, Bed 13
Post assigned: Assistant Armskote IC
IPPT status: Silver

I am back from my first two weeks of my Basic Military Training from the beautiful island resort of Pulau Tekong. Those two weeks definitely felt like 2 months to me. Time seems to move so much slower in there but I am glad I made it past the first two weeks.

My batch of intake is the so-called "enhanced" batch and hence, our commanders are given only 9 weeks(compared to the original 11 weeks) to teach us the same amount of military training. Also, Bronco company is also known as a leadership company, meaning most of the intakes will end up in command schools like OCS and SISPEC. Personally, I would very much like to enter OCS and I will try to work towards my goal.

My commanders are all very nice people in the sense that they don't delibrately tekan you for no reason but they can become downright nasty and serious and firm during trainings... I remembered one of my IMT sessions where one of my mates failed to follow instructions and my section commander yelled the shit out of him and the scolding was really so severe that my mate cried in the end. Yes. This is how serious my commanders can get.

My bunkmates and platoon mates are all very friendly and interesting people as well. So I guess I am quite lucky to land at where I am now in Tekong. I heard Alphonsus is having a hard time at his Commandos camp. I hope he can pull it through.

I think I like the road marches most. I think I just like any activities that involves legs haha.

After booking out on friday afternoon, I am suposed to book in again on Saturday evening. So why is it that I can still blog on a Sunday morning? The reason is because I have fallen sick due to some food poisoning. I received an MC for 3 days, meaning I will book in only on next Tuesday. Some of you might think its good but to me, its actually bad because my field camp starts today! Which means I will miss the first two days of the field camp! If I am not able to complete my field camp, the commanders might decide to make me do field camp with another company, which means I might have to camp with total strangers. Not very good if you asks me. Plus, I also missed my 8km march which started this morning and should have ended by now...

I wanna my hair back.

8 more hours to my departure for Tekong School 1.
Going to experience something entirely new. Can't wait for it.
If you stop and think about it carefully, NS isn't so bad after all.

Tekong School 1 is notorious for its haunted history. The infamous 3-room bunk is located there.
Such a place is perfect for a paranormal enthusiaist like me.
Lets hope I won't get into trouble.

I am in a pretty good mood now.
I guess its all because of you.
Though I can't get to see you before my enlistment, I got to talk to you.

That is more than enough. I appreciate it.

However, I do realise that reality isn't so kind.
Not everything will always turn out the way I want it to.
Hence, I shall keep my hopes lower.
That way, I will feel less pain when reality hits me.

Still, I want to thank you for making my departure a happy one.

See you soon.

A picture tells a thousand words. What more should I say?

I've watched Deathnote 2: The Last Name for the third time today.

Sher bought me a beanie to conceal my botakness after my BMT. Not sure whether it looks good on me. Comments everyone.

37 more hours to go before I embark on my patriotic journey.

Hail the Island Republic.

Of all times, it has to come now.

Why?
I thought I could but I actually couldn't.

Theories aren't always correct after all.
They are mere speculations and extrapolations of one.
It can't be proven without putting it to test.

Mine has been proven wrong... by myself. Ironic, isn't it?

It has come at the wrong time.
Despite knowing this, I still yearn for it.
I am well aware of the consquences.
And I still yearn for it.

No matter no matter...
I need to face the cold-hard reality.

In the end, it could just be me. What am I thinking?

Did some catching up with Chew-ka-lao-sai today haha.

In case you're wondering, Chew-ka-lao-sai(chew until shit) is my sec school friend and he is actually known as Robin chiu... he went into SA after sec sch and thank goodness i dint go there for if i did, I might not be able to get BAND ONE for my PW. Apparently, the SA teachers gave their students the wrong information and the whole cohort ended up doing the PW wrongly. But chew-ka-lao-sai managed a band 2... not bad not bad.

We went to pool at marina square haha and it feels great to be playing against someone that is more or less of my calibre. I thought I was already very pro with my Ball-jump-over-the-table technique but he impressed me with his Ball-constantly-jumping-out-of-bounds technique...
After that went to arcade to play the "Lets-Go Jungle: Trap on Spice Island" game. very nice.

Then we went to PS to catch the Gim Hui Curse, otherwise known as The Curse of the Golden Flower. Just like what my cousin said, the movie is full of bouncing boobs; all the palace maids and the empress and most other female characters wear attires that never fails to reveal at least half of their boobs. In addition, their boobs bounces up and down as they move through the palace. In short, the movie is about the fight for absolute power in the Imperial Family. The emperor wants to kill the empress and so the empress decided to strike first by asking her son to rebel against the emperor and take the throne. In the process, the crown prince died and the emperor become damn angry and went on a rampage. Then the emperor found out about the empress's plot and blah blah blah. The emperor won in the end. But he also lost something I guess. What i like about the movie is the frequent clash of armies haha. Thats about the only part I like I guess.

I would rate it 3.5/5

after the movie i went to the toilet to excrete but again, my body played fun of me again. nothing dropped down as i sat on the toilet bowl....

after that we went to the STAR FACTORY and played some more arcade game...

Suddenly, a surge of excitement filled my body. Accompanying that surge of excitement was a stinge of anxiety; I could feel my heart in my throat at that time. After awhile, my elation wore off as I realised the cold hard fact... I can't make the mark...

Among the games I tried were:

House of the Dead 4
Time Crisis 4
Let's-Go Jungle

Went to eat Mac for dinner after that and went home. WHOOOOOOOOO, Diamonds are Forever and so is the NATURE BOY!

Does anyone of you ever felt like you need to shit and so went into the toilet, squat(or sit) down, twitch your butt muscles and then end up not shitting at all?

Well I just experienced it... and several times in the past. Quite funny. Wonder whats that all about. Am I being fooled by my body or what? There really is this tangible and realistic urge to excrete but when I get yourself ready to detox, my manure seems to be denied entry into my rectum by my large intestine. Sorta like stuck half way up there.

Beware! The MIRACLE of life!

Thank goodness there is no feeling that something is being sucked or pushed back into my stomach >.<

Went to gym with Ted today and it has been quite awhile since my last visit. I believe I shrunk in size. Was quite disappointed about it because I want to have a nice body to compensate my cannot-make-it face. (Unlike someone whose worrying all day long about getting bigger...)
In fact, I think I NEED a nice body. I simply NEED that balance.

Perhaps I shall start wearing NEW BALANCE shoes.

After that, went into the toilet with Ted and being the cheapskate person that I am, I decided to take a bathe since it will help me conserve my water bills at home. Ted waited for me to finish bathing. Such a nice guy isnt him? AS IF.
We argued whether should we go MS(my stand) to pool or Clementi(his stand) to pool(the gym was at Clementi). No adequate agreements could be made between both of us and so we decided to get Mr. Commando-cum-Alibaba to break the stalemate. In the end, the ardent supporter of The Great Motherland won the argument with the support of Tsar Ra's Guy and we headed for MS to pool.

While waiting for the bus with the Chick Watcher, Ted suddenly remembered that he had an appointment with his friend. But being the nice and considerate guy that he is, Ted decided to pool with us instead and PS-ed his friend. Thanks TED!

Alfonsus and me impressed Ted during pool; we showed him, on many occasions, how to miss
a ball that was set perfectly straight infront of a pocket. I also presented my ever-elusive ball-jumps-out-the-table(this is, by no means, related to buddha-jumps-over-the-wall) technique. I guess it was an eye-opener for him. He probably saw two of the worst poolers around in the history of mankind today. Well, sorry Ted. I already told you my pool skills are abysmal. If you read my previous post carefully, you would have known... Ted, lets play again when I get better.

But well, the good thing is I got a few pointers from Ted. He imparted to me a part of his 九球神功. I am gonna use that to thrash somebody next time.

After that, we just walked around MS and then finally settled down in Mac where Alfonsus and Ted had an intense, almost vehement, debate. Ted was saying geniuses are usually mildly autistic while Alfonsus was saying that was not the case and so began the debate of the millennium. Being the ignoramus I am, I just sat down and listen to them argue and I heard some interesting stuff like "A taxi is a car but a car is not a taxi" and "Homosexuals? and homicides" etc etc. The debate ended with a tie between both parties.

Then I proceeded to Suntec with Alfonsus to look for his Alwayssummer Morning game while Ted went home. We combed through the stores but found nothing that Alfonsus wants. But I saw something that I want in Karful(Carrefour) - an R.C helicopter! But it costs $50. Perhaps I should bring my mom there and get her to buy the toy for me. HEhehe...

When we headed for home, we saw a HMV in Citylink Mall and so we went in to look see. Sadly, the CD which Alfonsus wanted was sold out and he was so disappointed to hear this that his eyes almost became watery. But we still had a good catch. I purchased a copy of FINAL FANTASY ADVENT CHILDREN VCD while he acquired the MIRROMASK VCD. I am gonna watch my FFAC soon. I watched it once before but it was from our neighbouring country and the images were jumpy at times and worst, the subtitles sucks. The show is in Japanese. So subtitles are crucial. Very crucial.

6 more days to NS. Soon, I will be able to lay down my gun for my country. Soon, I will no longer have to worry about styling that bird-nest-lookalike hair of mine.

January 03, 2007

Its 2am plus now and I am still not a sleep. The official school holidays has ended and school will start again in like 6 more hours. Darn, I must have gotten used to late nights. Hope I can concentrate tomorrow.... Wait a sec, I just remembered I have graduated from JC. Ha, senile me.

I have been pooling around continuously for the past few weeks with my 好妹儿, so much so that my pool skills have increased abit. Yes. Abit. I am still an average, if not, lousy player. People that want to find a partner to hone their pool skills can always ask me out to pool with you. I will be more than happy to accept your invitiation.

I still haven't finished building my aircraft carrier model.

I've painted the hull and other main body parts. All thats left is don't attached all the seperate pieces together but I've a problem, I can't use UHU glue to do the job because they would eat away the paint on my painted parts. In addtion, its very difficult to apply the glue smoothly onto the parts which I want to paste; that would always be overflow to the side and this makes the pasting looks ugly. I also need a pair of tweezers to hold tiny parts(even smaller than the "Exclaimation mark" which you can find on your keyboard" when pasting them to the hull of the ship. Guess I might make another trip to the hobby shop later on. Maybe I can get Ali from Cairo to come with me. Maybe not.

I am in the midst of updating my Friendster account. Been a long while since I visited it.

Lalalala...
By the way, the correct chinese translation for pool is 桌球。

Gay New Year everyone!

Being the introvert person that I am, I stayed at home and PS2-ed my life away on new year's eve while other hip and happening person are out on the streets ushering in the new year.
BIG DEAL! I was hoping for some sort of Armageddon or Apocalypse but too bad, nothing out of the ordinary happened when the clock strucks 12am. Oh well, there is always next year.

I still can't seem to complete the Paramedic mission on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas after trying for the whole day.

Since its a new year, I have to celebrate it somehow and so, I decided to refurbish my blog to give it a new outlook! Doesn't it look great? I am so in love with it!
For those of you that don't already know, the girl above is Erika Toda and she starrs as Misa Amane in DeathNote The Last Name. As of now, I am officially her fan but like who the hell would care~

Never mind never mind...

I felt to make a DeathNote for me because I no can afford to buy one. And also they no sell un-black DeathNote so I want make a red one because in comic they got say that there also has limited editions of DeathNote for DeathGods that comes in non-black colours as well. I want to be out of the ordinary. Hence I going make a red one to make sure I not the same as others.
