I am feeling misanthropic tonight.
Humans can be such ugly, pathetic beings. In the practical world today, what most cares about is money, career, glory and fame. One can go to great lengths just to achieve these superficial and self-gratifying goals. So much for being an intellectually advanced species.
Being rulers of this little celestial body called Earth does not give us the right to alter it in any manner we like. Then again, who says we were the rulers in the first place? Ourselves. We self-proclaimed ourselves as rulers of this planet. This self-proclamation holds no value at all. It doesn't counts. (Think about someone telling you tomorrow that he is the governor of all life forms on Earth. What would you think of that fellow?)
Our home is dying. Not yet. But surely and slowly. Businessman with no sense of business ethics at all and yet still claims to be sentient beings are abusing Gaia for their own selfish profits.
Forests are being cleared for real estate developments. Lands are being over cultivated just to produce more and more harvest. Sewages are being emptied into water bodies for convenience's sake. Animals are being killed for their body parts. Fossil fuels are being burnt to satisfy our insatiable thirst for energy. Resources are being mined constantly to fuel consumerism.
The greatest irony of it all is, mankind knows we will be digging our own grave if we carry on but we still choose to continue doing it! What will happen later, we can worry later. Its the profits in front of us that counts first. Whatever happened to the most intelligent species on Earth? Perhaps we have gotten way too smart for our own good.
I have this vision that is gradually being formulated within me. I will become the Green version of Adolf Hitler. I will start a war, not for myself, but for Mother Nature. If Earth, along with millions of other species in it, were to survive, the humans must go.
I will set into motion a war with a weapon so deadly that all 193 countries on the planet will be conquered by me. I will kill as many as I can in the war first and then ferry the remaining survivors to a detention camp in Central Russia. The remaining entire human population will then be concentrated in that camp, leaving the rest of the world devoid of this foul species.
I will then throw some of these survivors into Mother Nature herself, without giving them any supplies or equipment, and let them fend for themselves against the odds in the wild. I would very much like to see how powerful they all are, without their guns and fancy technologies, in the face of tigers, pythons, lions and other wild living creatures. I want to see them get decapitated and disemboweled by the animals. I want them to feel the pain seeing their loved ones getting chewed to death but they can't do a damn thing about it. I want them to be humiliated!
