More haste. Less speed.

Do things too fast and you might end up with an incomplete material.

Take things nice and easy and do it slowly. Give it time to settle and form properly. Only then can you obtain a perfect crystal.

Even so, always be prepared to end up with a less than satisfactory end product. Things might go wrong somewhere in the process, especially when you are new to metallurgy. When that happens, take another piece of material and start all over again.

But remember, never settle for anything less than what you want.

Teachings from AE2009.
