Reading it in a book is one thing. Seeing the cold hard facts with my own eyes is totally another. Not many people knows about such abomination going on in the meat industry around the world. Most just eat their food and never bothered about its origins. After all, food is just food right?

It is our very demands for meat that fuels the existence of such practices in the industry. We want meat and we want it affordable. To maximise their profits, meat industries capitalize on our demand and rear animals the way they do in the video; squeezing as much animals as possible into as small a space as possible to save land costs, feeding the animals waste to save on feed costs, slaughtering them with massive machines to save on operational costs and handling them in the crudest way possible to save on human resource costs.

Think about it. Animals being cruelly treated in slaughterhouses is an open secret which many governments know. But why are industry leaders still allowed to carry on with it?

Its a pretty fucked-up world we live in. A vicious cycle. On one hand, we have people lobbying for animal rights but on the other, we have people eating them, as well as treating them in the worst way possible. Talk about eating out the end of your tail.

I am pretty sure people who watched the video will feel disgusted but at the end of the day, their diet still remains the same.

How many people will actually make a difference by changing their diet?

On a side note, I can't help but feel that one day, when aliens or some other un-discovered intelligent species on Earth conquered us, will humans ever end up like the animals in the video?
